Jan Brett

American illustrator and writer (born 1949)

Jan Brett (born December 1, 1949) is an American illustrator and author of children's depiction books. Her titles include The Mitten, The Hat, and Gingerbread Baby as well as r traditional stories such as decency Gingerbread Man and Goldilocks.

Life

Brett was born and still lives in Massachusetts.[1] She studied chimpanzee the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.[1]

On Honoured 18, 1980 Jan Brett ringed bassist Joseph Hearne, a colleague of the Boston Symphony Corps.

Brett's works have been out of action for and won multiple credit over the years.[7]

Reception

Many of Brett's books have been positively conventional by libraries and parents alike.[9][10][11][12]

In May 2023 at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, Unusual York, an exhibition was hosted dedicated to Brett's Illustrations.[13]
